MapTapTime is a daily geography guessing game. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and who we share it with. We keep it short because we collect very little.
We do not sell your data, run ads, or use it for cross-site tracking or profiling.
We use a small number of service providers to run the game. They only process data on our behalf:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, database, and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. |
| Mapbox | Serves the interactive map you play on. |
| Authenticates you and shares your email address if you choose "Continue with Google." | |
| Resend | Delivers your sign-in email. |
| Slack | For the private friends group, your display name and scores are posted to a private Slack channel. |
| Anthropic | Generates the written recap for each day's puzzle (puzzle data only — not your personal information). |
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint you or track you across other websites. It gives us aggregate counts (like how many people played) without identifying individuals.
We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below).
MapTapTime is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
