MapTapTime

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

MapTapTime is a daily geography guessing game. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and who we share it with. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your data, run ads, or use it for cross-site tracking or profiling.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the game. They only process data on our behalf:

ProviderPurpose
CloudflareHosting, database, and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
MapboxServes the interactive map you play on.
GoogleAuthenticates you and shares your email address if you choose "Continue with Google."
ResendDelivers your sign-in email.
SlackFor the private friends group, your display name and scores are posted to a private Slack channel.
AnthropicGenerates the written recap for each day's puzzle (puzzle data only — not your personal information).

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint you or track you across other websites. It gives us aggregate counts (like how many people played) without identifying individuals.

Data retention

We keep your account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete it at any time (see below).

Your choices

Children

MapTapTime is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
